A remarkable video out of Australia shows people chanting “freedom!” as a food market is forcefully shut down by COVID riot cops.

The clip shows dozens of police on horseback and armed with riot gear facing off against market sellers and customers.

Chants of “freedom, freedom!” then break out as one officer directs the riot police to move in.

Cops armed with shields then begin charging and pushing people away while one man is singled out and dragged away by officers.

The poet could have been describing the present state of our world since the discovery/manufacture/release/invention/….. (which,if any, applies?) of the novel virus Covid 19.

The rulers truly are driving people mad!

Ponder if you will our world post-March 2020 and the plethora of conflicting, contradictory regulations.

Total lockdowns, easing of lockdowns, localised lockdowns, threats of more total lockdowns.

Stay home then don’t stay home.

Don’t visit relatives or friends then do visit relatives and friends.

Form social “bubbles” then burst your bubbles (too many people in the bubble).

Work from home then don’t work from home and return to your “covid-secure” offices.

Don’t eat out then do eat out to help (the wrecked economy) out.

Keep 2 metre distance. No, keep 1 metre distance but 2 is preferable.

21-06-2020: Throughout the Western world, riots and protests have taken place over the police murder of George Floyd, an unarmed African American, in Minneapolis, USA. Under normal circumstances, protests against such an act would be understandable, and would be something that working people could throw their weight behind. Yet the context for these actions took place in anything other than normal circumstances, and the political direction of the riots and protests were not progressive. The leadership emanated from the Black Lives Matter (BLM) organisation and was backed by liberals and what became the “lockdown left”. BLM may have begun with good intentions some years ago under the Obama administration in the US, but today one word best describes its character: hypocrisy.
