The Behavioral Model and the Government Pandemic Response

Think For Yourself Blog

The United States is the international superpower.  The American way of life is the envy of the world. The plentiful resources and rich heritage of its culture, position this country to succeed where  other nations are  lacking.  Economic and military might vaulted the USA quickly into preeminent leadership in the world of nations. The reaction of the runners-up, to  success and power spawned jealousy.  The United States has many enemies, and anti-American antagonists have been frustrated throughout.  The enemies of the United States, and what it represents, were frustrated and flummoxed.  They could not defeat it from the outside through military attacks, or economic cabals, because the USA was overwhelming them in every arena.

Breaking It Down

The only avenue available, then, was to go inside, to destabilize the behemoth.  Wreck the supporting structures of a building, and it falls easily.  Whether it is age or brute force, any structure…

Public Health, Broken Heart

She must have nerves of steel. I stand firmly with her.

Professor Sunetra Gupta is an infectious disease epidemiologist and a professor of theoretical epidemiology at the Department of Zoology, University of Oxford. Her fee for this article has been donated to The Childhood Trust, a charity which fights to alleviate the impact of child poverty.

A direct copy-paste from The Daily Mail, 30 October 2020

Professor Sunetra Gupta (pictured) said at the heart of their proposal is the recognition that mass lockdowns cause enormous damage for the poorest and disadvantaged

Lockdown is a blunt, indiscriminate policy that forces the poorest and most vulnerable people to bear the brunt of the fight against coronavirus. As an infectious diseases epidemiologist, I believe there has to be a better way.

That is why, earlier this month, with two other international scientists, I co-authored a proposal for an alternative approach — one…

Tens of thousands flee Paris over looming lockdown

Incredible videos are emerging of people fleeing Paris before the national lockdown of their country over COVID comes in force on Friday. The lockdown will actually make it illegal for people to travel.

During what can only be described as a government-induced panic, stores are being stripped bare of food and other essential items.

The Daily Mail explains:

Tens of thousands of Parisians last night caused massive traffic jams in a desperate attempt to flee the French capital ahead of the start of Emmanuel Macron’s new national shutdown.

Video posted to Twitter shows huge numbers of Parisians attempting a mass exodus out of the city in a bid to avoid the 9pm curfew and the start of the second lockdown from midnight.

The night air was filled with the sound of blaring car horns while social media users estimated that Parisians had created ‘hundreds of miles’ of gridlock to escape…

Face masks have become a powerful part of Covid-19 propaganda. From Patrick Delaney at

WASHINGTON, D.C., October 29, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) — A rapidly growing group of doctors critical of the government’s and the media’s response to the coronavirus crisis characterized mask wearing as “completely irrelevant to blocking the … virus.”

America’s Frontline Doctors (AFLD), a “diverse, exceedingly well-credentialed” group of physicians, gathered in the nation’s capital on October 16 and 17 for a second “White Coat Summit” aimed at countering “the massive disinformation campaign regarding the [COVID-19] pandemic,” according to the official website.

Physician, attorney, and founder of AFLD, Dr. Simone Gold, began their press conference affirming the event’s purpose to bring to “the American people truth … hope … optimism” and more reasons “to not live in fear” of the coronavirus.

She affirmed that there “continues to be a great deal of disinformation…

We (your superiors) know what is best for you and we are doing this for your own good.

We expect you to be grateful.
